I make an entrance inside my unsophisticated blanket cave and I sit cross legged, newly fathoming reaching out to throw you the words I've caught. Words that were dangling by spider web thin wires. //caption// The Tooth Fairy Visits You -Sanjana Kumar I sit with experiences dangling from spider web thin wires and onto a sheet as cold as the thinnest layer of ice you've walked on. Treading a line between blurred boundaries. You've always had to look back to make sure you were being gentle enough. And when the ice cracks, one thin jagged line marking your pit, you fall down into cold waters with nothing but a handful of chilly winds and the breath that escapes your lungs. I sit with all of these experiences and I recoil at my own words. So inadequate. So forlorn. I want to hold down the heads sprouting up as I assemble words to make sense of the wonder of a shooting star and I want nothing more than to suffocate the life out of the ghosts climbing from the smoke chimneys but I stop. I stare. Not in the eye because the clouded over glaze evident in the dead irides is too alive and it's like a slimy hand trying to grasp at the edges and failing all the time. But mostly, I sit here with a limited stock of words only closely meant for ears that have a shielding palm against them. I would like to tickle the ear cavity with harsh truths only unbelievable enough. But I don't. Instead I build myself a kiosk that could be easily shattered if even a battered bludgeoned blow was dealt to it. I make an entrance inside my unsophisticated blanket cave and I sit cross legged newly fathoming reaching out to throw you the words I've caught. Words that were dangling by spider web thin wires. But strong wires. And I've had to dig my feet deep for support and strain all my limbs to get them. So keep them. Tuck them safe into your clutch and don't let the sleep fairy take it away from you in exchange of your fallen milk tooth. Keep them for good luck. From me to you. From skin to skin. From a glazed gaze to a possible hesitant smile. #yqbaba #yqtales #poetsofinstagram #haunted #yopowrimo #yqchallenge
