Yes, the abused can become the abuser. In fact, it's a vicious cycle. Anyone who experiences ill-treatment--and is traumatized by it--may either be too defensive or too offensive, in time. It's a cyclical syndrome. For, pain can give birth to irrational fear. This, in turn, becomes the impetus--to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Bullies, in most cases, become oppressors; because they are mistreated, as well. Hence, eradicating such never-ending roundabout, is done by early intervention. Therefore, information dissemination and community cooperation are both needed. Also, the capacity to be vigilant, as regards witnessed maltreatment, is a social responsibility for each and everyone.  Challenge by Teniola Balogun

This is like me, going back to my university days--writing an essay for my Psychology classes. Hehe. I opted to discuss abuse, without specifying gender. Because, maltreatment happens, irregardless of it. I hope this suffices, Tenney. Thanks for inviting.
