Song of a dream Ye calmness struck me today ! A numb mind, I carried the whole way. Sliver of hope was by my side, Roof of thoughts to reside. Rough sands I mulched and used the clay; Used it to carve my craft in play, Some cracks of shudder and dismay. An escape or reality ? Ye decide. Ye Calmness struck ! Not that I knew when Ye may, Hand me a blow of dismay; Looking hither to find what's inside, My blind mind looking for the light. O dream ! thy actions in my path lay, Ye Calmness struck ! Tried my hand at English poetry after ages. This one speaks about the actions we take to fulfill our dreams. Not the best of ways to approach it with such casual flurries. I tried to convey what moments matter when you start your day and confront your destiny. It seeps into your mind and brings about a change that hones you with its calmness. Notice the usage of "Ye" for dream as an entity. Also the calmness converts to "His Calmness" when we move to the refrain. Just small things that convey a different meaning. #Rondeau_Writing A Rondeau is a short poem consisting of fifteen lines that have two rhymes throughout(a & b).
