Happy birthday Kedar Mukadam Sir

He is a disciple of the great Tabla Maestro Sudhirkumar Saxena,
A great legend of the Ajrada Gharana,
Which is famous for its three time pattern (tishra jati kaydas),
And as well as for its balanced left(daya) and right (bayan),
Which was originally founded by two brothers Kallu Khan and Miru Khan.

He is a guru in The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda,
He has also studied there,
And luckily by his guru's blessings,
He got job there itself.

He is famous for his amazing bandhishes,
In all forms of compositions in tabla,
Making him one of the greatest gurus,
Performing Arts, MSU could ever have.

He even taught me for 2 years,
Focusing mainly on the practical part,
As tabla is an instrument,
Which needs lots and lots of practice and dedication.

You will always see him making compositions,
And his mind is always working 24/7 just towards tabla,
Because that's his mastery,
And he knows how to train students to play tabla confidently.

He speaks very limited,
But if you ask him anything related to tabla,
He can explain you the whole day without getting tired,
Truly tabla students are blessed to learn from such a great guru.
