▪︎ The Stars Illude; The Stars Lie ▪︎ And each night she remained awake To ordain the brightest star over there Amidst all the tiny twinkles; Which shimmered on the unfurled quilt of umbra. Her darkest hours knew the stars, Her loneliest moments hailed the stars Even her tears fell in the abyss of night desired to be absorbed by the stars. But, the stars too illude, the stars too lie They illuded the world as a heavenly ambience, Graced by people like them, so considerate; What she saw, each word's robed with illusion. The stars too illude, the stars too lie, For, they thwarted her wishes, baffled her fancies And turned them into mere cinders and ashes They decieved her and still're happily gleaming. The stars too illude, the stars too lie For they beguiled to be her boon companions They promised to be with her till the perpetuity But shattered the promise as the dawn broke. Perhaps, that's why she says with a sigh, " The stars too illude, the stars too lie." #cinemagraph #mythoughts #swet_n_poem #starstoolie #paidstory
