The night draws in, shadows creep, A mask of darkness hides my tears so deep. The day was bright and full of joy, But darkness seemed to follow me like a ploy. The troubles I face are far too deep, That even in prayers I can't seem to keep. God is watching from up above, But why does this darkness feel like a glove? The weight of the world on my shoulders, My life feeling more like a boulder. There's no answer, nowhere to turn, As my heart continues to burn. I'm lost in the darkness that has me bound, Not even sunlight can turn the tides around.
