//Unrequited love// (prose poetry) //Unrequited love// (prose poetry) I knew you could never be mine, yet I adored you. You were my guilty pleasure like the webseries I binge watched, like the chocolates I ate, I was losing the count, feeling out of place, not even in range of your interests, You were the prince charming looking for your princess, you were out of my league. Initially, it was hard to even think about confessing, then I gathered the courage to talk to you. That awkward conversation with you, I still remember. A nerd and a jock, a girl full of flaws and a boy so flawless, our classmates were staring wide eyed at us, the incident was so similar to cliché Wattpad stories. "I- I -like you..." The words came outta my mouth without taking permission of my mind, I was a nervous wreck, you were silent, my eyes looking down, my head hung low as if I was a sinner who confessed a crime, waiting for imprisonment.
