In the quiet dawn, I rise,
A shadow of what I once was,
Holding onto the threads of hope,
That today, perhaps today,
Your voice might break this silence,
Might stitch the pieces of my shattered soul.
Morning creeps through the window,
With golden rays that once warmed me,
But now they burn,
For they illuminate the emptiness beside me,
Where you used to be,
Where your presence used to fill the air.

I wait, with bated breath,
For a message, a word, a sign,
That I still linger in your thoughts,
That you still remember the love we shared,
But the hours stretch,
And the silence grows heavier,
Like a weight pressing on my chest.
Noon passes, the sun high and bright,
Mocking my loneliness,
The world bustling outside,
While inside, I'm a ghost,
Drifting through the remnants of us,
Replaying moments in my mind,
Clinging to the echoes of your laughter.

Afternoon fades into dusk,
The sky bleeding into shades of sorrow,
And still, I wait,

"They call me dead"

"I don’t know why they call me dead,
Although inside I bleed.
They took me in a coffin,
Smiling as if they won something,
Even as they relished my suffocation.
They placed roses on my body,
Talking of how foolish I was,
How useless I was to this world.
'It’s good he died; now the burden is less.'

In the silence of my final rest,
Their laughter echoes cruelly, stark and cold.
They dance upon my grave, unburdened,
While I lie forgotten, my story untold.
Alone in the darkness, I drift through dreams,
Invisible to those who once knew my name.
Their voices haunt the void where my soul weeps,
A mournful dirge in a world gone lame.

No longer part of their waking lives,
I am but a shadow cast by their disdain.
They speak of relief, as if my departure
Erased their discomfort, their hidden pain.
In this endless night, I cry silent tears,
A ghost adrift in their cruel apathy.
My essence lingers, unacknowledged,
In the emptiness where I once sought to be.

Oh, how I yearn for one last embrace,
A moment of understanding, a spark of grace.
But I am lost to their uncaring eyes,
A sorrowful whisper beneath the skies.

As earthworms feast upon my rotting flesh,
Insects crawl where warmth once dwelled,
My body, now a banquet for decay,
While my spirit, trapped, still mourns and swells.
In death, I find no peace, no end to my pain,
My heart’s cry echoes through the soil,
An agonized lament in the damp, dark vein,
A betrayal of trust, a love turned to spoil.

Friendships I thought eternal, now shattered and frail,
Love that once held me close now turned to dust.
In their eyes, I was a burden to veil,
Yet my essence lingers, though my form is thrust.
The earth consumes, but my sorrow endures,
My spirit weeps in the shadows of decay,
A testament to love betrayed and pure,
Still alive in the circle of life’s dismay.

Let the roses wither, let the silence grow,
For in their relief, my spirit still cries.
I am no more to them, I am no more to this world,
But I am still alive in the circle of life,
Although inside I bleed, yet my sadness remains,
An echo of anguish in the vast, empty plains."

Last night, I had a dream
You, me, and the moon.

Talking all day, you said it’s time to ,
But how could I when you have stolen my ?
My day never ends, nor does my night,
It’s all about you that I dream every night.

You, me, and the moon,
A world where you and I reside,
Stars where your picture blooms,
And the moon, our tender home.

I lay on your lap, whispering sweet nothings,
Recalling our first meeting,
The day when our paths crossed.
Oh, if only time could freeze that day,
Would nature become more romantic,
Would the world around us pause?

What would happen on that day,
When love painted our way?
I remember how we grew closer,
From strangers to beloveds,
You and me, bridging this distance,
Fueling my love more each day.

Your voice, a romantic Symphony of cuckoo,
Your laugh, a symphony I hold dear.
Every text, every call,
Brings us nearer, through it all.
Sharing secrets under its glow,
Our hearts beating in unison,
A love that continues to grow.

The miles between us vanish,
When I close my eyes and see you.
I feel your warmth, your touch,
Even though you’re far away.

When the moon shines high in the dark, vast sky,

मै और ये शहर लखनऊ
जैसे कविता गुलज़ार साहब की,
हर गुफ्तगु में तुम्हारा आना लगा ही रहता है,
कुछ कम याद नहीं आये तुम,
तुमसे मिलना, तुममें घुलना,
फिर एक नये हिस्से से मिलना,
उस हिस्से में भी तुमसे मिलना ताएँ ही रहा है,
अब वो चाहे गोमती रिवर फ्रंट हो,
या बड़ा इमाम बड़ा,
या फिर वो हज़रतगंज की गलियाँ हो,
या अमीनाबाद की भीड़,
या वो दिलकुशा कोठी,
हर दफा एक नया किस्सा तुमने बताया ही है,
यूँ ही रात भर तुम्हें चलते देखना,
आसमान तले तुमसे इश्क़ फरमाना,
बारिशों में तुम्हें अपना सुकूँ कहाँ,

यही उठाकर स्कूटी तुमसे मिलने जो रोज मैं चली आती थी,
खुद को बस एक दफा तुम्हारा और कहने के लिए,
जैसे तुम्हारे पास मेरे लिए अभी कितना कुछ है,
और मैं तुम्हारे बिन अधूरी,
अब मैं तुमसे किया इश्क़ सबको बताती हूँ,
वो पहली मुलाकात, और झिझक,
जैसे मिर्ज़ा गालिब की लिखी सबसे खास रचना तुम,
सबसे झूठ, तुम्हें मैं अपना बताती रही,
ये कम आशिकी नहीं थी मेरी तुमसे,

अगर तुम्हें सुकूँ लिख तुम्हारी हूँ लिखूँ,
तुम बुरा तो नहीं मानोगे,
अब इतना समय साथ बिताया है,
कुछ किस्से कुछ कहानियाँ तुम भी तो सुनाओगे,
बताना मुझे तुम पुराना इश्क़ अपना,
वो चौक की गलियों में बसी हमारी खुशबू,
रेजिडेंसी की तारीखों में बसी धूप,
तुम्हारे हर कोने में बसी हमारी यादें,
हर मोड़ पर बसी मेरी आवाज़ें,
तुम्हारे बिना जीना मुश्किल है, ये तुम भी जानते हो,
तुम्हारी बाँहों में बसी मेरी दुनिया,
तुम्हारे बगैर, ये जिंदगी अधूरी सी लगती है।
तुम्हारे नवाबी अंदाज़ ने मन मोह लिया,
हर कोने में इतिहास की खुशबू मिली,
बेगम हज़रत महल पार्क की हरियाली,
कभी अंबेडकर पार्क की रौनक,
तुम्हारी रसोई में तहरी की खुशबू,
और टुंडे कबाब की चटपटी कहानी,
हर मोड़ पे एक नई स्मृति बनती रही,
हर शाम की महफिल में तुम थे,
तुम्हारी रातें भी कितनी अनमोल थीं,
जैसे तुमसे ही मेरी साँसें जुड़ी थीं,
और भातखंडे संगीत महाविद्यालय की तानें,
रूमी दरवाज़ा की ऊँचाई से,
हर मोड़ पे एक नई स्मृति बनती रही,

साइंस सिटी का जादू,
और लखनऊ चिड़ियाघर की शांति,
हर शाम की महफिल में तुम थे,
तुम्हारी रातें भी कितनी अनमोल थीं,
जैसे तुमसे ही मेरी साँसें जुड़ी थीं,
अब जब भी ये शहर मुझे बुलाएगा,
मेरे कदम तुम्हारी ओर खुद-ब-खुद चल पड़ेंगे,
तुम्हारी सड़कों पर बिछी मेरी यादें,
तुम्हारी गलियों में बसी मेरी मोहब्बत,
यही मेरी अंतिम सलामत है,
जैसे इस शहर की फिजाओं में बसी है मेरी खुशबू।
जिसमें अंत में लिखा नाम बस मेरा है...

I'm happy to stand all alone
Living a life to only me be known

I'm happy to spend my time of day
No one around , nothing to say

I take my life as it comes
Until from stranger to friend you become.

My friend I'm happy you came into my life,
And changed the lonely bitter strife.

I let you in , my Lonely walls came down
I suddenly became this funny clown

Days passed by ,
this friendship grew
I became so fond of you ,

like so many others ,
my life in the past,
This beautiful friendship was not to last
How many times I said goodbye

How many times tears filled my eye
How many memories I've created to last
How many friends have come and gone so fast.

Laughter, happiness ,
good times with you ,
Is all I will have to see me through

You say we will always be friends
In good times and bad times till the end ,

But time and distance have their way,
Of taking this special bond away.
Remember the day we first became friends,
Our secrets, our laughter, no need to pretend.

Do you remember that fight we had?
I don’t remember the date, but it made you so mad.
I used to apologize, to see you smile,
I’d do anything to make you happy for a while.

We shared our hearts, our dreams, our fears,
We enjoyed each other's company through the years.
The rumors that college whispered in our ears,
We shrugged them off, we had no cares.

Our friendship outlasted gossip and strife,
A beacon of joy in the chaos of life.
But then came that night, so dark and foreboding,
The moon was blood-red, the end was approaching.

From being a part of life to the unknown we climbed.
