Water

We all need water,
Plz don't slaughter,
As Earth is becoming hotter,
And don't rape someone's daughter.

We need it when our throat is dry,
Some people even start to cry,
Some people can't even see the sky,
And they don't know why?

Gallons of water is wasted every day,
Rich get to drink,
But the poor class has to suffer,
But I really wish there was some other way.

Water is the ultimate source of life,
Plants need water,
Animals need water,
And humans need water too.

If you can't appreciate,
At least don't waste,
Water is such a thing,
That everyone wants to taste.

It is necessary for all,
It can even make a person fall,
It is even installed everywhere including the mall,
But don't forget to turn off the main valve.

Fear

What is fear?
Is it actually somewhere near?
Is it really dear?
Or is it really going to make you drop a tear?

Why are we so scared?
Why no one cared?
Why weren't we prepared?
And why are we always compared?

It plays with our emotions,
Stops our current motions,
Makes us believe in devotions,
Otherwise we can't stop their promotions.

It threatens the soul,
It makes you forget your role,
It pushes you away from your goal,
Because its the work of the prole.

It plays with the mind,
As its not kind,
It can even make you mad or blind,
And such people should be fined.

There comes a time when

You get bored of everything and you don't feel like living or doing anything because nothing is changing in your life.

When you have a good fan base virtually but no one knows you in real life. That time you feel very meaningless and senseless because though you have established a fan base anywhere in the world. Sadly they won't come to help you when you need them. So obviously you need local people to your rescue. But it can only happen when they actually know you.

Now a days due to mobiles all have become Internet and international stars. I don't know about others but yes virtually Mobile had helped me establish myself in most parts of Africa. Mainly Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. But mainly Kenya among all of them. I like the way the poets and people treat me. But sadly we are countries apart. So how much ever we try only luck factor can make us meet each other because of various factors. As I said earlier too that I'll be thankful to them for allowing me to grow in their country and between their people.

Thank You Africa!

When I look back, I realize

That time was not my friend. I also thought of so many things but in the end it dropped down to nothing. Today I stand in front of the world being a Rhyme Guru because of Poetry and earned my fame and respect in it too. But sadly that's also a minus point as we are not treated good nor do we have the respect that we deserve.

I realized time ran faster than my thoughts and it made it difficult for me to think about my future. Today I'm standing in no man's land because no one will understand my problems. Everyone thinks that I'm smiling or laughing so I'm actually happy. But they don't see the actual reason or pain behind that smile. All they know is that I'm just alive.

Obviously even I planned my life and goals but nothing turned out to be in my favor. Actually everything went down the drain because I don't know why but things are working the way they should. That's why even at this age I'm still thinking when others are already knowing what to do and how to live their life. So I had no option but to start accepting life the way it comes.

But I hope time changes soon on a good note. May be God knows better. That's all I can say now.

Money

As you all know most of the poets aren't paid and we are mistaken to be free people and we are not respected enough. They forget that some poets live on poetry solely. Obviously only fame won't feed us right? That's why we have very few full time poets.

Actually we have seen since the past decades poets and money don't go hand in hand and none of the poets know why?

I remember I saw an episode on Maharashtra chi Hasyajatra which is a Marathi Comedy where a Poet earns just 30rs per piece and sadly he got just one show or request in the entire month.

Surprisingly it was true for me too. One of my friend paid me just 50rs which was a request of his friend and that's all I earned till now. As with foreigners the conversion rates differ so sadly I couldn't earn anything on request poems.

When I told him that I'm a Rhyme Guru and Poet Of The Year 2020, he was like you are making profit out of it and misusing your title. They don't want to understand our problems. Obviously we are asking money for what we deserve. We are not looting anyone. Try to understand this please. We also have a life and we also need to live happily.

Thank You!

Daily Challenge in A S House which is an Indian Poetry Group

What made you a writer?

As many people don't know me I have been inking since first standard so I had that flow since the start. So along my journey I met many poets and people and interacted with them and gained knowledge. Slowly I learnt to polish my pieces . That's how today I'm known as Rhyme Guru in many parts of Africa.

Yes due to mobile that has been a minus point that not even 1% people know me in India because the virtual world has its own good and bad points. Many Indian poets think that I'm faking my title because I have very less fan base in India. As there is a difference between knowing and following. As you may know the whole world but we don't follow all. Its the same thing.

Obviously it was easy for me to gain a fan base on an international level. As to my surprise my very first poetry group on what's app itself was a Nigerian one which had African and Indian poets.

Obviously in India there is a lot of competition and all can't gain the respect and love we deserve. But I'll always be thankful to African poets for giving me so much love and appreciating my work and passion everyday.

Thank You!

Write and dedicate a letter to your childhood

Dear Childhood,

I know you will never come back. But I want to tell you that I enjoyed my days with you. When I was in Abu Dhabi we had our own group of Maharashtrians, Hindi speaking people and Satya Sai Organization group where we had so many golden memories.

I still remember my first School being Abu Dhabi Indian School, Abu Dhabi where I'm still in contact with Shobha Shivraj mam who was my first standard class teacher and English teacher too.

I miss our flat in Abu Dhabi where most of our memories were born and we had so many bhajans and fun on different occasions with different groups at home.

We used to eat Zatar, Croissant, Khubus, Chicken Shawarma, Laban Up, Pizza at pizza hut, Rainbow Sharbat in Baskin Robins, Filter Coffee at Sangeeta Restaurant, Prabhu uncle who lived in the adjacent building to our right, bhindi at a famous Anand Restaurant in Abu Dhabi and most of our weekends were in Dubai, endless teases and fun with other kids and the Abu Dhabi mall, Marina Mall and Carrefour. How can we even forget these things.

I really wish we could go back in time and enjoy those things again.

Only a Writer knows

How other writers feel because most writers don't get the respect they should and they end up leaving poetry or they go into depression because we are not paid like others.

But the problem is poets themselves don't appreciate each other. So obviously when there is no unity among ourselves, others will obviously take undue advantage of that because mostly all have become international poets now because of mobiles.

Its a very sad thing that few people make fun of us because we are good at our work. Instead of learning from us they try to pull us down.

Being a Rhyme Guru I have learnt that its very difficult to survive just on poetry because people from your own community don't respect your title. So how much ever you say it won't change anything.

The sad part of virtuality is that though you are connected virtually with lots and lots of people and poets but you forget that they are national or international writers. But when you need help local writers will only help you. But for that they should know you.
That's the most important thing.

So the moral is being famous is good but you have to accept reality.

Request Poem by Abhishek Pingale from Maharashtra, India

Happy birthday Shivani Tamboli
(27/06/2021)

She likes to hang out with friends,
She likes to wear the latest trends,
She doesn't like wends,
And she knows how much she spends.

She loves to eat,
She likes to walk on the street,
She doesn't like to cheat,
But she likes to tweet.

She likes to watch Netflix,
She doesn't like to take unnecessary risks,
She knows all the tricks,
And she doesn't like just blue ticks.

She doesn't like people who lie,
She doesn't like people who spy,
She never likes to say good bye,
Because she wants to fly high.

She likes the festival of navratri,
Which is famous in Gujarat State,
She doesn't like to wait,
But over all she is great.
