Rape and justice One night, I walked down the street, With my trembling and paining feet. There was neither a sign of glowing light, Nor a person at the sight. Those were the moments of dark, I was tired, without having a power to hark. Then came a gang that began to surround, I was terrified and looked around. Are they robbers? I got a doubt, And my mouth gave a shout. On my shaped body, they fell, As if it was a toy of hell. "Help, Help" I began to scream, But help was only a dream. My belongings were stripped, My clothes were ripped. I shouted and groaned in pain, But my efforts went in vain. They made use of me, one by one, They thought it was for fun. Like a mosquito I was swattered, My dreams were shattered. I was lying on the ground, being lame, But for them, it wasn't a shame. To the hospital, I was rushed, While my blood flushed. I was given an advanced treatment, Fully funded by the government. The news spread like wild fire, The shout for their punishment, went higher. There was a demand for justice, "We will give it very soon", the government promised. At last, the culprits were hanged, Their powers were banged. Finally, I was able to walk in the street, This time with my brave and confident feet.
