FLUMMOXED Another bite he took From my blood dripping heart, Grinning as I winced in pain. He licked the blood oozing From his sumptuous meal With a swipe of his tongue, Forcing me to watch every bite He took between his teeth. My eyes met those smacking Blood dripping lips As he ravenously chewed My heart bit by bit, savouring in Delight. I fixed my gaze on those Brown orbs that I once adored as They blazed with desire for more Bites of my bleeding heart. Those brown orbs Suddenly became compassionate. It happened yet again, Perhaps for the hundredth time, Those lucid intervals; The moment the monstrous Beast in him suddenly becomes A charming angel. Worry filled those brown orbs As he wore an expression Of unsettledness. With a Gauze pad and an ice cube, he Cleaned dry every pint of blood Oozing from my bleeding heart, As I watched his forehead Crease with concern for me. I felt glacial pangs of pain Like the stabs from a two-edged Sword. Can a million gauze pad And ice cube cure a bleeding heart? My heart wrenches with pain That could only be cured by true Love. Love that he could never Be capable of giving. My mind drifted back To the genesis of my misery, That yesterday that crushed My today. That moment My infantile heart Thumped slammingly in my chest, The moment I fell in love with The beautiful beast. "My biggest mistake was letting You have your way with me. How could I have thought that I understood you? Who can understand the ways Of a psychopath? You are nothing But a beast in human clothing!" I let out the words I fear were my last. He immediately switched back To the wolf he was. With teeth Like the fangs of an orca, he  Gourmandised every remaining Part of my heart like a mole. Life is sweet. Yeah it is, When everything goes well and things fall in place too. But then it does get sweeter... Oh yeah, When there's Amala and Ewedu; Not the one from Iya Silifat's across the street-tho that one's great anyways, But the delectable dishes that cause me to salivate in a manner Pavlov's dog would envy. No, I'm not exaggerating. Also, there's the feeling of 'grdftdgvhjtvff' Yes, you read rightly-I cannot sufficiently describe with one word; You know, This feeling of joy, delight, serenity, refreshing moments of eternal cherishing... Oh Hallelujah! That's gotten nowhere else, irrespective of the tune being played, But only in the midst of Kith and Kin. Tobiloba. Of Kith and Kin... 20/09
