Her tears flowed as gentle rivulets of unexplained sadness, demerging into frail branches, each searching for its own horizon. #tears #rivulets #horizon #YoPoWriMo #yqbaba

-CalmKazi & Staha #450th #CalmKaziWrites and an amazing spontaneous collab with Satarupa Sinha Picture by Mufeed Mahmood (@mufeed_flaneur on Instagram) Follo

S cintillating stars do not shine in her window but scars C ountless pages have been digested by her heart. A silent soul, satisfied with her solitude's company, R ivulets of words flow through her forlorn seas while L oving the moon and the rain are her two pastimes. A LOOK AT LIFE-150 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY I am at my best when I am with me, talk to me, listen to me, the voice within. I am at my best when I interact with plants and animals, meadows and mountains, sun and moon, rivers and rivulets and listen to their voice of silence and innocence. I am at my best when I am lost deep inside in the beauty of peace and solitude, closely identify with me, forgetting the world surrounding I am at my best when I see myself in others, others in me and visualise the universe as expanded 'I' I am at my best when the 'I' melts in bliss and consciousness. When nothing remains except He, the big void. White A LOOK AT LFE-118 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Time never waits Don't try to go ahead of time Never remain behind You can not defeat time Be with it Never lose your present To the memories of the past And dreams and uncertainties of the future Life is beautiful You don't see it Your mind is somewhere else Your past hunts you Your future scares you Hardly you live for the moment It is not the way to live life Be with life, its ebb and tide Feel its rhythm and rhyme Look at the meadows and mountains Rivers and rivulets Look at nature, its spellbinding beauty The birds singing the song of life See! how full and fascinating life is Wake up! See! a beautiful day is waiting for you Nature is welcoming you with a beautiful smile Smile with it, live your day with love and passion Before it becomes yesterday Get the better of you, your changing moods And conflicting priorities Before they get the better of you And you spoil your day once again. The dousing sight of an old man Was quite a horrific reckoning-- Especially for itsy-bitsy me, Who merely sprung out of bed, Because of a startling skirmish, As loud as an ornery deadhead! Still half asleep and giddy-- Heart, thumping like a grating drill-- I opened my billowing curtains To check this noisy existence; Then, lo and behold! A ludicrous creature yelled at me; A being, dripping and so filthy, Stared right back at me-- As if daring me to cackle At his wrought up ensemble of twigs! It took me a few moments to discern That the lunatic monster, Flapping his limbs, was my neighbor-- The one who seemed too urbane To even try such a risible caper! There he went, hopping about, As if the whole wide world wasn't there-- Terrorizing young, innocent minds And gripping the tongues of busybodies Who were too scandalized to act! For, how does one siphon a valid riposte When one finds a sophisticated old man Gambolling about the ricefields, Turned into mucky rivulets, In front of one's house? One just stupidly gapes, that is! SOMETHING I LOOK AT-229 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAYS AFTER-25 At last We met after long At the same place where We used to meet every winter The pandemic separated hearts Beating for each other For a substantial period But it could not put an end to the bonding, The craving that precisely defines our Relationship for thirty six years The joy was smiling in each face The eyes were dancing in ecstasy Like the waves of an ocean Mind going back to the dreamy days Where the journey began To find a place under the sun Before thirty-six years in the garden of Eden The venue cast its magic spell Each became dancing rivulets Men and women in the late fifties Became young once again. Hugging each other Forgot themselves Their status and identity And the same unalloyed smile and gestures That eluded us for thirty-six years Bounced back with renewed vigour Life became sheer poetry A peg of red wine once more Time stood standstill To witness the moment The moment of meeting of hearts Celebration of minds In the garden of roses The paradise on the mortal plane It was enough To rejuvenate the young minds Inhabiting old bodies And to keep the man in the sixty on the go To look forward to life And its spellbinding beauties once more Smruti Ranjan Mohanty ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty SOMETHING I LOOK AT-229 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY DAYS AFTER-25 At last We met after long At the same place where
