It had only been a few kilometers since Peter had started to move. The tracks in the fresh mud were a continuous line. He was determined not to be caught. Mustering up every ounce of will power, he pushed himself further and further away from the car crash, groaning and grunting. The police were on the scene soon, looking for him. Search parties fanned out in all directions in the forest and trails on the side of the mountain road. An observant police officer prodded a hole the ground, next to a tree. Something moved, he was taken aback to see a figure covered in mud crawl out of the hole. So surprised was the officer at this strange sight, he forgot to inform his fellow officers by radio. He just stood there watching a fugitive trying to escape, muttering to himself " He doesn't want to be talking to the police, look at him go!"
