What you say yours
is not yours.
It is mine, exclusively mine.
How can I be an alien to my feelings, my emotions, my anxiety and fear, cheer and tear.

I understand the language of your heart, listen to its beats,
blend and rhyme with it.
It is my heart not yours
I know where it aches.
How can I ignore the pain,
remain indifferent to it,
turn a deaf ear to my aching soul and dreaming eyes

I feel your feelings
Know not how to respond in a world that is unlike you and me.
