She sat cross-legged on the floor. Playing with a willow o wisp, That had come flitting by. Her grandmother sat on the stool, Combing her hair, As she tied her a plait, Her grandmother looked at her and asked, "Echemu, what are you doing?" She smiled and said with her childlike innocence, "Paatiamma, when I grow old, My hair will be like yours, white as a willow wisp." Her grandmother chuckled. A message notification woke her up from her dream. It was 3 am in the night. It was her father's text message.
