There is a clock tower in Presentation Convent, Srinagar, which is said to be haunted. When we were in school way back,no one was allowed to go up the last flight of steps. Barriers had been put up.Of course there were the daring students who went there,while we, the quiet ones formed a mystery solving club much like Nancy Drew and her friends.Many afternoon recess breaks were spent solving the mystery of what had happened and spying on any movement of the ghosts in the clock tower from afar! Anything we found out about the history of that tower only added to its allure of it being a haunted place. Someone supposedly died up there,and walked the stairs up and down!! Now that I think about it, maybe the barriers were for the students safety, and the ghost stories ,only a myth that grew larger with time!!
