~• On Books And People •~ Books are people, who were too shy to stand on a stage and hold a mic Or just  scream their agonies In front of the whole wide world Loud and clear.. Disguised inside the tinted covers.. Ambiguous Titles.. And Pseudonyms.. They make us laugh and cry harder We can touch and feel them, And we smell their musty biblichor They have a soul As we interrogate, we find our responses They make us fall in love to the moon and back.. And they break our hearts.. We revive, we observe We evaluate and we learn.. We keep them beside our pillows And we dream with them Each night.. And travel to labyrinth of celestial bodies, Parallel universes and dead stars.. Books have longer life expectancy than people.. As they don't declare wars. Are they more humane than humans? If books were people would we tamper with their inherent prose? Try to make their metaphors rhyme? Rearrange pages and realign their stories? Judge them by their covers? Maybe we would if we could.
