कल जब वो उठ खड़ी हुई थी, तो पुरानी बेड़ियाँ कड़कड़ायी थीं, जब घर से निकल पड़ी तो, तथाकथित मर्यादायें चरमरायी थीं, अनगिन सवाल उछाल दिये गए थे, उसकी श्रद्धा,निष्ठा और वात्सल्य पर, आज सदियों से अनुत्तरित,अनगिन सवालों के जवाब लिखती हूँ। किसी ने पूछा था कल, अकेली क्या कर सकती हो, चुप हूँ,गूँगे-बहरों की दुनिया में, मैं कलम से इंकलाब लिखती हूँ। एक लपट है मेरी लहरों में, जो जलती नहीं,बस बहती है, कितनों को चुप कर जाती है, पर मन की अनकही कहती है। जब सभ्यता सँवरती है, दीपों से फाग लिखती हूँ, नूतन रंगों से राग रचती हूँ, बरखा में आग लिखती हूँ।
