Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-5" is a poem of magnificent nature because it brings forth the ideals we need to practise in this world of manifold realities happening one after the other. The poem commences with the individual in the poem wanting to have wings with which he/she can fly into the past which is filled with basketful of good memories afterall as long as this individual is concerned. We all have eyes but do we see what we must see in our lives such as the beautiful aspects of life, the eyes we have we must use to observe the attractiveness of this world, the innocent smiles of the children, the bewitchingly beautiful face of a girl and the stunning sceneries all around. There is a tinge of regret in the words of the individual at the final stage, that he/she must be given the heart to love and care for others which sadly didn't happen in the past. It remains as a festering wound in the mind of the individual in question in the poem.In the end, the individual earns for a mind that doesn't have any ill will towards anybody instead it is an impartial and impartisan humane tissue altogether. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature.

A LOOK AT LIFE-5
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Oh, God!
let me have a pair of wings
to fly down the past
where I could not live
but cherished all along

Let me have a pair of eyes
to look and appreciate all
that is beautiful and romantic
the smile of a child
to the scenic beauty of the earth
the bewitching looks of a girl
in her teens to the dainty cheeks
 of a newlywed

Let me have a heart
to feel and reciprocate
love in all its colours
beauty in all its forms
that I sadly missed
over the years

Let me have a mind
that never roams and
hangs on to the object of love
so fulfilling and beautiful
in this world of glamours

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life -4"is a poem that looks at life from various strands, angles and dimensions. As we go through different phases of life, we come across different circumstances and situations which teach us about various aspects of life one way or other. Whatever, it is, life should be cherished to the hilt because when it is gone, it is the endgame, so whatever good things that we can do in this life, we have to do with atmost earnestness and consideration. From childhood to old age, life teaches us many things, in early childhood we are tinged with innocence, then in the adolescent period,we are prone to the nitty grittes of life culminating in antics of various hues and colours, in the middle age,we function as people of obligations and responsibilities and finally in the old age, we wait for the chariot of death to arrive with a sense of resignation. In fact from birth to death, life is a constant struggle and a pillar to post running but we need to enjoy life imbibing its essence and real spirit, otherwise, we shall regret about it at the end. If we are bogged down by the responsibilities and high pressured jobs in our lives, then the prime period of our lives pass by us without ourselves noticing it a bit. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature.

A LOOK AT LIFE-4
BY- SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Life
At its various stations
Offers something
Which is just unique and different
Not to be found anywhere else

Life with all its splendours
To be lived and relished
For once you miss something
Will never come back again

From early childhood
To late old age
From naughty looks of a child
To the full bloom of youth
From the agony of mid fifty
To the apathy of late eighty
Life has its own moments

From cradle to the grave
Life is a feast
Never allow duty tension and anxiety
To take the juice out of it
Or else be sure
You will make a total mess of it

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-3" is a poem of the spiritual dimension. The individual concerned in the poem regrets about his/her abandonment of God in his/her life here on this earth. God is along with us all in every step of the way, but often we fail to locate his presence in our midst. God is someone who is present when we need or not need him, he takes care of us each and every moment of our lives. God makes his constant presence in our lives from the beginning to the end, at no time, he shows any relenting in his love of us, he creates us and gives us the freedom to be on our own, our creator is such a benevolent figure indeed. In the course of time in our lives, we misuse the freedom that is granted to us by God Almighty and also we are more interested in the materialistic aspects of life created by him not himself, thereby we forego him and turn our lives into big cesspools. Here, the individual in the poem requests the God to bestow upon him/her one more chance so that he/she can make amendments to his/her life by not going after the ways of the world which he/she has done in the past. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of highly spiritual nature.

A LOOK AT LIFE-3
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

You were there
When none was with
You will be there
When none will be

In between
From cradle to the grave
You were all along
Looking at me with loving eyes
Caring for my needs
But never interfering
Leaving me to live on
My own wishe

I lost touch with you
Fooled myself with
Your lovely gadgets
My independent wish
And made life
A horrible mess

My Lord
Forgive and
Give me
One more birth
To meditate and pray
And promise
Not to tag me
In your cosmic Maya
Once again

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life -45"is a poem that bares before us the peculiarities and contradictions that we come across here in this world. The fleeting nature of this world is a certainty which we can't discount at all.Everything in this world is subjected to change, that is the only reality we come across in our lives. The truths and lies also undergo multiple changes as per the transitory nature of the society. Our perceptions and assumptions do depend upon the individuals we come across in our lives, often our perceptions are created by the hysteria of the massive media networks spewing out venom on us with their fake and concotated new items. The truths that you perceive as rights may not have any truth in it afterall. There are certain bitter truths that are swept under the carpets, they are more truthful than the so called truths of the officialdom. For example,we all know why the wars are sustained here in this world,it is subtly to help the arms and ammunitions industries based in the West, but if we make such an argument, nobody takes notice of that at all, instead they all believe that the Western powers wage war in oriental territories to bring democracy to these places,in fact that contention is far from the truth. So a truth is not a permanent truth and likewise a lie is not a permanent lie,so always remember that today's lies are tomorrow's truths and today's truths are tomorrow's lies.So it is time that we must not be judgemental in terms of our approach, instead let us not judge others so that we shall not be judged at the end.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificently philosophical pedigree.

A LOOK AT LIFE-45
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Nothing is absolute
in this relative world of ours
even truth and lies
good and bad
time and space are
subject to conditions

Nothing remains
pelf and power, beauty and ellegance
hatred and jealousy are
for a peroiod of time
everything keeps on changing
so the pair of opposites
circumstance, time and individuals involved
decide who and what is what
it depends how you perceive reality
in a world of relativity and
it is your perception, interpretation and prority that guides you
arrive a conclusion
which may not be right
your lie may save an innocent
your truth may cost ones life
some truths are blatant lies
some true lies are naked truths
more true than truth itself

It is the spell and purpose
that decides how true the truth is
and how false the lies are
nothing is more pseudo and poignant
than the bitter truth that harms the innocent and nothing is more true
than the lie which saves
the ingenious, helps justice and
fair play to blossom
and have its way

What is good for you
may not be so for another
and what is good is only for a period
of time in a particular circumstance
with change in circumstance and
individuals in an interaction situation
the texture and colour of truth and lie
good and bad change

Space is both finite and infinite
time not always goes ahead
it reverses its forward movement
and recedes back and
yesterday comes instead of tomorrow
under conditions
universe expands and contracts
stars become black dwarf, planetary nebula, black hole, grey matter
hence nothing remains as such
and keeps on changing, dying
and coming alive again and again

Birth and death
earth becoming black dwarf
and black dwarf becoming earth
bubbling with vitality
are but parts of life
already there in the cosmic drama
enacted on the big stage

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-2"is a poem that dissects the concept of love in a microscopic manner.True love is conveyed through silence,it can set hearts into motions that can generate feelings of oceanic nature in the interiors of the hearts of the two people intimately drawn to each other. The passionate love is done and dusted and the love of sustainability enters the scene without the accompaniment of physicality at all.Love is a greater feeling than lust, the mixing of both is an incompatible and contradictory thing altogether. The true love reaches its Himalayan peak when two individuals attracted to each other remain in silence together seeing the world with a positive frame of minds and with no care in the world.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of exquisite nature.

A LOOK AT LIFE-2
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Silence
Is the language of love
For it speaks a lot
Which a palpitating heart
Can never fathom
Rapid breaths
Can never feel
And drooping eyes
Can ever find

Love matures
Over the years
When one looses
In the other
The body never
Craves for another
And the heart
Meets the heart
Eyes look at
Each other

Love and lust
Are step sisters
Can never co exist
For they run
Parallel to each other

Love unfolds
In silence
When two beings
Become one
And work in tandem
Have a single pair of eyes
To look at the world
A beautiful heart
Which beats and beats
For the sake of love and love

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-45"is a timely poem advocating for an ecocentric view of the world rather than an anthropocentric view of the world.Today we still follow that old paradigm of development wherein all activities of us human beings are concentrated upon ensuring maximum comfort level for us human beings here on this earth even at the cost of the survival of the flora and the fauna in this world. We are so immersed in this game of claiming the ownership of this world that we don't mind that the fate of the world dangles at a precarious position with the ecology, environment, nature and atmoshere of it highly impaired and damaged, the natural elements of the world are highly contaminated and polluted and the earth appears to be a waste land which is to be put back on the rails. The effect of global warming is for all of us to see with the temperature level of the earth skyrocketing like never before, due to the rise in temperatures of the earth, natural calamities do come to the earth thick and fast in the forms of hurricanes, the rise of sea level, the submergence of island nations around the world and the huge and massive replacement of the people. The point we human beings need to remember and imbibe into ourselves at this juncture is that to have a deeper understanding of our position here on this earth that is that this planet is not our exclusive realm alone rather it is a planet on which all creatures of this earth do have a natural claim as we do,so we need to co-exist with all the creatures here on this earth,if not we shall be slowly eradicated from this world because without them and an ecosystem of balanced nature,we can't ensure our survival for long.So what we need to do is to preserve and conserve this earth and hand it over to posterity in the way we have got it from our ancestors. We also need to make sure the sustainability of Mother Earth and we must follow sustainable developmental patterns as well and most importantly let us follow the principles of "Live and Let Live and Give and Take",that is the only way we can surge ahead in our lives,so let us envisage for the ushering in of an egalitarian and eclectic society.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of exquisite and marvellous nature making a clarion call to reformulate our strategies in terms of the ways through which we have to live in this world.

A LOOK AT LIFE-45
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Solely concerned
we are with our own suvival
hardly think others who coexist
with us have life of their own
the worst victims of our selfishness
and misadventure here

We lament
our own survival is at stake
existence in jeopardy
with global warming, environmental pollution and attitude of man putting a serious question mark as to whether there will be any life on earth

So obsessed we are with our own survival hardly pay any attention to
the environment that nourishes us
the culture that sustains life on earth

Man being the most clever and
assertive animal on earth has deprived
others of their due
endowed by the Almighty and
made a mockery of their life
how many of us accept the
truth that this beautiful earth is
as much ours as it is theirs

There is a limit to exploitation
a limit to the theory of survival of
the fittest, beyond a limit non will
 survive and the fittest will
succumb to the ire of nature

Time to rethink and reorient ourself
time to internalise our cultue
that stands for love and reciprocation
spirit of tolerance, compromise
and peaceful coexistence

Let 'live and let live' be the motto
or else we only we will be
held responsible for the complete
annihilation of life on this beautiful earth

Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-1"is a poem that envisages a world filled with cherished principles of life. All the material pleasures of life don't give us that ultimate union with the blissful being, for that everything that is worldly must be done away with or eschewed to the core, when we leave behind the desires and ways of the world, the true happiness surely would descend down upon us slowly but surely. It is time to go back to the drawing board in the sense that we need to go back to nature and should live a life in sync with nature all the ways, just think about the primitive human beings,in fact they didn't have tensions and worries and they always lived a life in consonance with nature,we present day human beings do have so many problems because of our rupture from nature in a subtle fashion, the more we alienate from nature, the more problems we put on our shoulders day in and day out.The world of make-belief sort that we live in would provide us with only comic relief, nothing else, for the real consolation we need can be had only through the Muse connected with literature,so that all our woes disappear in the thin air once and forever. The main problem we human beings encounter in our lives is that we loose our innocence, under no circumstances, that should happen to us,instead we should keep the innocent nature of our minds intact all throughout our lives so that we can lead a straight-forward,honest and sincere life.At the end of it all,we need to have hearts of humanity and humility to lead an upright and credible life.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature.

Take back everything I have
The colourful world, the galaxy of beauties
The pompous life and glamorous gadgets

But let me go back to that romantic era
The era of the of the primitive savage
Where man was true to himself
And lead a life, full and contented

Take me back to the world of
Gods and Goddesses, ghost and fairies
For I want to have a romance
With all that I believe

Let me have the mind of a child
Pure and unalloyed free from
Pride and prejudice, hatred and jealousy
For I want to live and remain true to myself

Let me have the eyes to see the world
As it is, a touching heart to reciprocate
And a beautiful mind to feel every bit of it
