Dear Food, I want to start by acknowledging the value you bring into my life. I respect the nourishment and energy you provide. However, I must admit that there are certain foods I find unappealing and cannot enjoy, despite your benefits. My body rejects some of you, which makes it challenging to consume what I don’t like. My mother, a PhD holder and an exceptional homemaker, has taught me the importance of not wasting food. I strive to honor her teachings by minimizing waste and making mindful choices. Yet, balancing this with my personal preferences is sometimes difficult. Thank you for understanding my perspective and for the role you play in my life. Sincerely, ©twisha ray dear food letter #trnojo126 #thoughtsofheart #Life_experience

White Dear August, You think you can trick me by raining on my feelings. No, never! I could not forget my painful emotions. I could not feel sorry for my careless errors. I could not resist those shivering helpless hands. I could not accept those merciless lucks. I could not live for those unfortunate loved ones. I could not forgive those heartless humans. ©Shilpa priya Dash #dear august..a letter

White "Ravan's Foolishness -3" "Oh, leave me, let me go! Uma cried 😭, struggling. But Ravan went on homewards. A wandering Brahmin stopped him midway! Do you know who the Brahmin was? Lord Vishnu! "Oh, why are you towing that old hag on your shoulders? the Brahmin inquired politely. "Old hag? What? Ravan asked confused. "Yes, said the Brahmin, "I thought that normally you were interested in only the most beautiful females." You must be as blind as a bat, said Ravan arrogantly, otherwise you would have recognised that this is Uma, the most beautiful of all Goddesses. See for yourself, said the Brahmin mockingly. He flipped Uma down and gasped. Smart Uma! Hearing the Brahmin's words, she switched herself by magic into an ugly old hag! "Yea! Ravan released her snarling. "Phooey! Go away, ugly, horrible woman. Shoooo!" Uma needed no second call! She ran right away! All the way to Kailash and Lord Shiva! Ravan had been fooled yet again! "Well, I have the Lingam at least!" Ravan consoled. After a while, Ravan felt like answering Nature's call. I obviously cannot take it there! thought Ravan. (to be continued) ©Sanjoy Khuman #Ravan's Foolishness -3

White Shakuntala -3 A bonny son was born to her after a lapse of time. She called him Bharat! He grew up to be a brave lad living amongst lions and tigers. One day, a fisherman at Dushyant's Kingdom, brought home fish to chop and cook. From the innards of the fish, he scooped out a ring. "It looks like the King's emblem ring! Let me ask. The fishermen presented himself to the King and showed him the ring. Just as soon as Dushyant saw the ring, he clutched his heart and whispered, "Oh! My Shakuntala! Memory of his marriage came flooding back. Dushyant raced towards the forests. Subsequently, he stopped for a break in the woods. Giggles and gurgling were coming from a clearing at a distance. Curiously, Dushyant moved up to see. In the patch, a young boy was playing with tigers and lion cubs. He had opened the mouth of one tiger cub and was counting its teeth! This is no hermit's son, thought the king. Lucky is the king who has a son like this. "You are a brave boy! Dushyant commented. What is your name? The boy proudly said, I am Bharat! Son of King Dushyant. "What? exclaimed Dushyant. You do not believe me. come, ask my mother. She lives in a nearby hut. Dushyant inquisitively followed the boy. When they arrived, Shakuntala came out from the hut to receive her son. She gasped when she saw Dushyant. Dushyant looked up and his face broke into smiles. "My Shakuntala! At last I have found you." The king and his beautiful queen lived happily for a long, long time. Bharat succeeded his father and became the greatest king the world had ever seen. And the land he ruled over (India) forever bears his name - Bharat. ©Sanjoy Khuman #Shakuntala -3
