MY REFLECTION CAME TO VISIT ME (2). I grew up believing Wealth and Power must be pillage by force. As I was too young to know what is right from wrong choice. So I plundered through lands to gain power and held sway. And rejoices over people's discomfiture and dismay. "Had I known, I would have being a better reflection of me." And use less the word "I" and more of the word "We". But my reflection came back to visit me, looking fiercely. As I breathe my last drop of life elixir,closing my eyes finally. MY REFLECTION CAME TO VISIT ME. My reflection came to visit me. In the wee hour of my last demise. Holding my gaze with flaming lips and fiery eyes. And held me transfixed like someone in trance. The fiery eyes darted and the flaming lips spoke. 'Why has thou being a liar and a crook?" My reflection look into my eyes and wave a bony hand. It said " your soul is wary and your life is in my hands" Prior to your demise, a behest has to be scribble in heavenly ink. And all fault answered afore your life sink. I never believe my life would cease so soon as I fear. Word desert my tongue and I speak through my tears. "I am what the world made me to be" The product of man's greed and treacherous deeds. Born in affluence with a jar of myrrh on my body. My essence reek of proud scent and men call me "Bossy" Omoniyi Wasiu Abiodun. © July, 2020. #myreflection
