कल चौराहे पर चीथड़ों में थी, आज डिवाइडर पर सर टिका है । कल कचरे को उघाड़ती थी, आज लथपथ किनारे पड़ी है । कल खिड़कियों में एहसान ढूँढती, आज उनकी चौंध से घिरी है । जो चीख भी गूंज में खो गयी, इस शहर से क्या आस रखती ? वो यतीम टुकड़ों में जी लेती साब, गर भीख में ज़िंदगी मिलती । यतीम कल चौराहे पर चीथड़ों में थी, आज डिवाइडर पर सर टिका है । कल कचरे को उघाड़ती थी, आज लथपथ किनारे पड़ी है । कल खिड़कियों में एहसान ढूँढती, आज उनकी चौंध से घिरी है ।
